Making the Web Work for You: 6th Annual National Learn to Code Day Wrap-up
On September 22, over 900 learners across the country came together for our 6th annual National Learn to Code Day to participate in our brand new Intro to Browser Extensions with JavaScript workshop.
Together, we learned how browser extensions can help customize our browsing experience and increase productivity — using code to develop agency and harness change through building our own extension for Google Chrome.
We explored permissions and discussed ethics around extensions and learned how JavaScript can be used to interact with websites and modify or replace content (can you say more kittens on the web?).
As always, none of this would have been possible without the generous support of our National Learn to Code Day Partners, Google, Accenture, and TELUS Digital. Thanks for helping us make Canadians passionate creators — not just consumers — of technology
