Step 2: Download our Quick Start Guide

Our free Digital Toolbox Quick Start Guide is designed to help you introduce coding to your learners by offering best practice tips, strategies and approaches. We share learning objectives for coding and programming and a useful Glossary of Concepts.

Step 3: Explore Canada Learning Code Week Lessons

We have 6 lessons available for educators participating in Code Week this year. They complement a variety of subjects and are appropriate for a wide age range! Each is accompanied with prep work instructions, extensions and training to empower everyone – no coding experience required – to introduce coding to their students. Select one (or two or three) to teach throughout Canada Learning Code Week!

Step 5: Teach (& Win!)

Prepare your lesson, set up your classroom and get prepared to bring problem solving, creativity and fun to your students. All of our lessons are supported by short video tutorials that provide clear guidance on how to facilitate the lesson with your learners. Don’t forget to check back on December 3rd to submit your students’ work to our contest to win great prizes for your classroom!
