A note from Heather: As you know, the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) has been a wonderful partner of ours for a long time. We love being a member of the community, so today, we’re posting this to see if we can help them out! Take a look at the note from CSI below, and fill in the survey if you’re interested!
The Centre for Social Innovation, in partnership with TELUS, is hosting a full-day conference on the mobile app space on January 30, 2013 and we are seeking experts who can lead sessions throughout the day. Consider this an open call for participants and discussion topics. Please fill out the survey below if you want to participate. More importantly, please share with your networks!
Our focus is twofold:
1. Business: To provide insightful learning sessions for small business owners who have an app or are thinking about using an app in their business.
2. Technical: To provide provokative discussions on the technical aspects/trends for app developers that are designing apps for small business owners.
The preliminary schedule consists of keynotes, panel discussions, and breakout sessions but the final layout will depend on how the pieces fit together. The proposed content framework is outlined below (divided into two streams):
1. Business Stream
-Outline of different platforms
-Responsive design vs mobile website vs HTML 5
-App roll-out – How to market your app once you have it
-Customer acquisition strategy
-How to take advantage of user analytics and mobile tracking data
-Mobile app design 101 – design paradigms in different platforms
2. Technical Stream
