We believe in partnering with individuals and organizations representing community needs in the design and delivery of our programs. We work continuously to inform and educate our team to help us create learning experiences that support the diverse needs of our country.
For all of our programs, we offer pay-what-you-can tickets to ensure our programs are accessible for those who cannot afford to pay. You can purchase a pay-what-you-can ticket while registering right on the learning experiences’ page.
In addition to removing financial barriers to accessing our programs, we’ve made it a priority to equip each Chapter with loaner laptops they can keep in their community and lend out during workshops to those that don’t have access to one. You can request one while registering right on the learning experiences’ page.
It’s important to us that wheelchair accessible spaces are used to run our workshops which includes an accessible entrance and washroom.
We strive to be as inclusive of physical or developmental challenges in our programs. Our policy is that any aid or interpreted may attend our programs along with our learner for free. In the case where an aid must be hired to accompany a participant to one of our workshops (such as an interpreter for a hearing impaired participant), we offer a $100 bursary to help make participation in our workshops more generally accessible.

The gender categories which were assigned to us at birth carry with them a whole lot of social and cultural meanings and expectations and are not necessarily how some choose to represent their gender (i.e. male or female). At Canada Learning Code, we strive to create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe(r) environment for people from diverse backgrounds. This includes being careful about the words you use and addressing people by their preferred gender pronouns.
