Going “off-script”
We don’t expect any of the instructors to have memorized the content, or to read the slides word-for-word. Ideally we’d like you to explain the content in the slides in your own words.
You’re also welcome to add different examples, analogies or explanations that you think may help the learners understand.
Sometimes learners will prompt you with questions to give an additional example.
We give you artistic freedom in the delivery of the material, as long as you still cover the topics in the original deck and don’t rewrite the material.
While each instructor will add their touch to their workshops, we want to maintain consistency across the country and ensure mentors are prepared when they walk into the workshop.
