Canada Learning Code

The Initiative

The code:mobile is Canada Learning Code’s newest and biggest initiative to inspire and educate Canadian girls and boys to become passionate builders -- not just consumers of technology.

Think: a computer lab on wheels (Canada’s first coding truck)!

But, it’s more than just a truck or a computer lab. It’s a cross-Canada journey that will bring hands-on, interactive technology education to Canadian youth. We believe that computer programming and other technical skills are a tool of empowerment, and it is our mission to ensure that all Canadians -- particularly women and youth -- have access to these learning opportunities.

From May to September 2016, we will visit over 50 cities across Canada plus surrounding cities and towns based on community requests.

We’ll visit large cities and small towns, in privileged and underprivileged communities alike, stopping by at local parks, community centres, Summer Camps, street festivals, aboriginal reserves, hospitals and anywhere else we can park the truck and pop-up our lab.

Support the Squad

Ladies Learning Code has always been by the community, for the community. Our organization and programs are driven by learners, mentors, parents, teachers, sponsors, partners and volunteers who understand the importance of teaching and learning technical skills. Whether you to the code:mobile or not you can still help us reach our goal (and make history).
